As soloist tenor with orchestras                            Videos

Martin Alvarado is fast becoming the first soloist tenor of  choice for  orchestras around the world wishing to present a tango or Piazzolla programme.

Martin has performed with a number of symphony and philharmonic  orchestras including La Orquesta Clásica Santa Cecilia at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid and the Auditorio de Zaragoza; the Pacific Symphony Orchestra in Vlladivostok and Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra and Jyväskylä  Symphonic Orchestra in Finland, the latter under the conductor/flautist Patrick Gallois.

He can perform a varied repertoire, including rarely heard Piazzolla songs as well as traditional and classic tangos, and other Latin American genres such as boleros and zambas. His commanding stage  presence and warm powerful tenor voice  combined with his authentic tango style make him the ideal choice for orchestras  considering this kind of programme.

In addition Martin has also sung the part of the Cantor in Piazzolla’s  operita, Maria de Buenos Aires, which he has performed several times including twice at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland. More details
